Reworked Jackets
Outerwear rebuilt by hand from vintage material - corduroy patchwork, reworked denim, canvas and monochrome blocking. Each jacket is cut and sewn from garments that already had a life, so no two come out the same.
Made in-house by ThriftJam in small batches. If you want a piece nobody else owns, this is the shortest route to one.
The five styles
THE CORD - our heavyweight corduroy patchwork chore coat. Lined and insulated, wears oversized, S-3XL. The one most people find us through.
THE JOAT - the same idea in 100% recycled denim, in two colorways: all-blue, or blue mixed with grey, black and white. S-3XL.
THE CROP - a cropped, closer-fitting patchwork jacket in five monochrome colorways: brown, black, green, tan and grey. S-2XL.
Denim Motocross Jacket - a women's moto cut in upcycled denim, dark through the body with blue-wash patches at the edges. Runs small, so size up. S-2XL.
Pink Canvas Jacket - Detroit workwear shape in recycled pink canvas, corduroy collar, three pockets, lined. Cut very oversized, so size down.
Common questions
What does "reworked" actually mean?
Every jacket here is built from clothing that already existed - old corduroy, denim and canvas, cut down and sewn back together into something new. Nothing is made from virgin fabric. It is the difference between buying vintage as-is and buying something rebuilt from it.
Will my jacket look like the photos?
Not exactly. Because the fabric is reclaimed, the patch layout and the shade of each panel change from piece to piece. The photos show the style; your jacket will be its own arrangement. You can leave a color preference in the note at checkout and we will match it as closely as our stock allows.
How do the sizes run?
They differ by style, which trips people up. THE CORD and the Pink Canvas jacket are cut oversized - size down on the canvas one. THE CROP fits true to size. The Denim Motocross Jacket runs small, so size up. Every product page carries full chest, length and sleeve measurements in inches.
Are these one-of-a-kind or restocked?
Both, in a sense. Each individual jacket is unique because the fabric is, but the styles are made in ongoing small batches rather than as single pieces - so if your size is showing, it is genuinely in stock and ships now.
How much is shipping?
U.S. shipping is free on orders over $49.99, which covers most of the jackets on this page. A flat rate applies below that.
